David G. Means Senior Vice President

David, a third-generation financial advisor, joined his father, Paul, and brothers, Zach and Alex, along with the rest of the Means Wealth team, in August 2022.  Dave was born and raised in Orono, Maine, where he lived before moving to Greenville, South Carolina, to attend Furman University and play baseball.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 2003.

Prior to joining the team in Greenville, Dave worked as a Senior Financial Advisor and Vice President of Investments for Wells Fargo Advisors in Hendersonville, North Carolina, for over 15 years.  While there, Dave gained extensive experience in developing wealth management and retirement planning strategies for his clients.  In 2019, Dave was recognized by Forbes Magazine as a “Top Next Generation Wealth Advisor*,” honoring his commitment to client service and excellence within the financial services community.

Dave believes, “As an advisor, I am proud to be part of an independent firm that puts clients first.  That is what I saw modeled growing up and I am happy to be back.”  Dave specializes in individualized investment plans that help strengthen family relationships and create financial peace of mind.

Dave and his wife, Kathryn, love living in Greenville with their children, Chase and Harper.  They are an active family, spending much of their time at various sporting events, playing family games and enjoying summer vacations in Maine.  Dave and Kathryn are members at Grace Church.
