Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our Planning team as a Paraplanner. This is a support role focused on assisting our financial planners with the technical and administrative aspects of financial planning, allowing them to focus more fully on client relationships. The ideal candidate will either hold or be serious about pursuing their CFP® certification, and will also have an interest in a long-term career in financial planning.
This is an in-office position based in our Greenville, SC, location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning Support:
- Input and maintain detailed client information in our financial planning software
- Assist with the preparation of financial plans and reports for client meetings
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in client data, reports and documentation
- Client Meeting Preparation
- Coordinate with advisors to gather the necessary data and documentation in advance of client meetings
- Prepare planning deliverables
- Ongoing Administrative Support
- Maintain and update client files and planning notes
- Support planners with ad hoc analysis or follow-up items post meetings
- Assist with the development and refinement of our internal planning processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for a degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Prior experience in a financial services or planning support role preferred, but not required for candidates with a relevant degree
- CFP® or commitment to pursuing CFP® certification is required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with financial planning software a plus
