In June of 2015, Ryan joined Means Wealth Management as Vice President and Chief Development Officer. He is tasked with adding new, innovative technologies and services along with helping the high net worth families, non profits and institutions at Means develop and implement comprehensive wealth strategies.
Ryan received a Bachelor of Science from the University Maine. Ryan then received his Masters in Business, with a financial markets concentration from Keller Graduate School of Management. Ryan currently holds his FINRA Series 6,7,63 & 65 licenses as well as life and health insurance licensing.
In 2009 & 2010, Ryan was nominated and in 2012 recognized as a 5 Star Wealth Manager, by “Five Star Professional, which conducts market research to define and promote professional excellence in the professions we serve.” In 2011, Ryan had his first white paper (The Affluent Asset Allocation) published for internal use with US Bancorp. Since then, Ryan has written numerous other white papers on varying topics, from the use of alternative assets in a high net worth portfolio, to the “power of preferred”.
Ryan started his wealth management career at JPMorgan Chase in Chicago. There, he did financial planning and investment management for high net worth families. In 2010, he joined the Wealth Management Division of US Bancorp, the Private Client Reserve and worked doing extensive research, planning and portfolio management with high net worth families, non profits, and institutions. His team managed more than $100,000,000.00 in client assets. In 2013, Ryan joined The Private Bank of Wells Fargo, and Wells Fargo Advisors out of Boston, MA where he implemented sophisticated wealth strategies for wealthy families across the country.

Ryan grew up in Old Town and worked in Bar Harbor during his summers in college. It was during one of his summers that he met his wife, Katrina. Ryan and Katrina now reside in Surry with their two children. Ryan is a member of the Causeway Club and is currently expanding his organizational reach on Mount Desert Island.
